Despite that and themselves seeing a decline in business because of that economy they will still stick their neck out and help folks suffering from electrical issues at home. I've had Discount Electrical out to my house now twice to repair and replace shortcuts taken by the contractor and his electric company from 2001 when they built this house. Their staff is courteous and friendly enough. They're patient enough to listen to you describe your issues with your home. Then they discuss amongst themselves to figure out the best course of action to take which shows maturity and the willingness to listen and reason things out which is something that's rare when dealing with box companies or corporate companies or franchise companies. They communicate better than any company than I've ever done business with in any field. As far as showing up when they say they'll show up they show up exactly if not a little bit earlier than what they said. I'm sure circumstances can differ according to the size job that they're at before and any unexpected challenges that may be at the prior job but both times they came to my house they were here exactly when they said they'd be. Which is nice. Your whole day doesn't revolve on waiting for them to show kind of like the cable guy who says he'll be there between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. and he gets there at 8:35 p.m.. LOL. They will send you out text and give you a progress report so to speak on them getting to your home. They will notify you when your technician is on his way. I highly recommend this company for any of your electrical needs whether it's just upgrading or replacing. I imagine they probably do a great job if you're building a home too and you needed some technician to come in and install electrical. "When I think of Discount Electrical Service, I think of "The Rons". Ron, the owner, and Ron the lead Electrician who you usually deal with while they are working on your project. I have used them for multiple large home projects over the past year or so, and I can't say enough good things about this company. Ron, the owner, came to my house after I called him about some really, really weird electrical problems in my new home. Well, long story short, they made some calls and replaced every outlet and a lot of runs under my house. They also ran some specialty lines for my computer closet and the tanning bed in our garage. I have not had a single problem with anything they have replaced or put in place for me; and my projects were far from "straight forward" and I am not remotely the easiest customer to deal with when dealing with a new "unknown" company. I'm flat hard to deal with and very particular; though they never let on that they noticed any of that. :) They aren't too big to take on small home projects and still have the best rate around, and they aren't too new or small enough that you have to worry about "shortcuts" or missed deadlines/appointments. You can tell they had a plan in the place when the company started, and they have been following it ever since. I plan on them being the only company I use for my home or my business projects."

"Discount electrical came in and saved the day. My contractor walked off my job and left my wife and I with wires running all over our addition. None of the wiring were labeled and all of the work that had been was either not to code or substandard. Not knowing what to do we called Discount Electrical and spoke to Ron. Ron came out delivered a lot of bad news followed with, "don't worry I will fix everything." Ron had a crew out the next day with all supply's needed and started the job. As they found more stuff wrong he let me know and fixed them. Once Ron finished he went out and got the codes enforcement officer and made sure we passed the final electrical inspection. Well, after I failed in my attempt to be a “Mr. Fix-it”, my wife contacted Discount Electrical Service. They did an awesome job.
